Magnetic scrap 446 is a ferritic stainless grade, which can withstand very high temperatures. This grade is shown as AISI 446, EN 1.4762, X10CrAlSi25, UNS S44600. 446 stainless steel offers superb resistance to corrosion and high-temperature oxidation. The Density of stainless steel 446 is 7.80 g/cm3 (0.282 lb/in³). If you are hunting for stainless steel 446 suppliers, then you can be sure that your hunt is over. 446 stainless steel contains high quantities of chromium, aluminum, and silicon and all these element combinations increase this grade’s heat resistance. 446 stainless steel is a magnetic stainless steel grade and it is hard to make welding to 1.4762. It is not so easy to machine this grade. We are one of the oldest and the most reputed suppliers of 446 stainless steel in India. The grade 446 stainless steel is a ferritic, non-heat-treatable stainless steel that provides good resistance to high-temperature oxidation and corrosion. The following datasheet provides more details of grade 446 stainless steel. Alloy 446, also known as Stainless Steel 446, contains a high level of chromium in its composition and therefore demonstrates high resistance to both corrosion and oxidation. In fact, it possesses the best oxidation resistance out of any of the 400 grades of stainless steel. It may equal that of the 300 grades but tends to display lower resistance to high-temperature applications. However, it displays resistance to both molten copper and molten brass and is the only heat-resistant alloy to do so.
Alloy 446 composition, known as Stainless Steel 446, contains a high level of chromium in its composition and therefore demonstrates high resistance to both corrosion and oxidation.
They are chemical and corrosion-resistant. These find application in railways, automotive, and construction purposes. We provide plate cutting and pipe cutting as per requirements.
