INCOLOY alloy 800 is an alloy of nickel, iron, and chromium. The inco 800 is capable of remaining stable and maintaining its austenitic structure even after long exposure to high temperatures. Other characteristics of the alloy are good strength, and high resistance to oxidizing, reducing, and aqueous environments. The standard forms in which this alloy is available are round, flats, 20 mo 4 forging stainless steel forging stock, tube, plate, sheet, wire, and strip. Incoloy 800 is primarily used in applications with temperatures up to 1100° F, where alloys 800H and 800HT are normally used in temperatures above 1100° F where resistance to creep and rupture is required. The chemical balance allows the nickel steel alloy to exhibit excellent resistance to carburization, oxidation, and nitriding atmospheres. 20 Mo 4 stainless steel is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy with moderate strength and good resistance to oxidation and carburization at elevated temperatures. It is particularly useful for high-temperature equipment in the petrochemical industry because the alloy doesn’t form the embrittling sigma phase after long exposure at 1200°F (649°C). Excellent resistance to chloride stress-corrosion cracking is another important feature of alloy 800. The alloy has been used in some steam generation plants due to the resistance to stress cracking however improved materials have tended to supersede the material for this application. Incoloy 800 is a stable austenitic structure that demonstrates good resistance to thermal cycling and finds application in the iris of theatrical spotlights, heater element sheathing, heat exchangers, and petrochemical process piping (pigtails).
Incoloy 800 is a solid solution strengthened alloy of nickel, chromium, and iron with small additions of aluminum and titanium. Incoloy 800H and Incoloy 800HT are developments of Incoloy 800, which give better performance at high temperatures. We provide plate cutting and pipe cutting as per requirements.
